Comments

Polyvinylpyrolidone (PVP) with a molecular weight of 10,000 is suitable in combination with high salt concentrations (3.75 M ammonium acetate) for precipitation of DNA from plant extracts. The working solution is prepared fresh before use (final concentration 6% v/v; ref. 1) or stored as a 20% stock solution at -20°C (final concentration 6% v/v; ref. 2).
